The package is a gnome-shell extension and of type arch all, it's building fine in artful https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-appindicator [Rationale] Some applications rely on an indicator to display their status/interact (skype, dropbox, ...). The extension is bringing back that feature to our desktop. [Security] The extension changes the UI of gnome-shell and has no known security issue. [Quality assurance] The extension is having an active upstream, the Ubuntu Desktop team is going to help maintaining it and address Ubuntu issues. [Dependencies] The dependency are minimal and already in main [Standards compliance] The packaging is classic dh and using the current standards. [Maintenance] The Ubuntu Desktop team is the maintainer for that package and desktop- bugs is subscribed.
