It appears both packages maintain these files:

/usr/share/doc/libxfont1-dev/copyright
/usr/share/doc/libxfont1-dev/fontlib.html
/usr/share/doc/libxfont1-dev/fontlib.txt.gz
This problem did not occur ~1 month ago.
