Public bug reported:

Now that Artful use wayland, i've found that writing/inserting a
password when asked by a dialog box, is impossible (seems the focus is
lost, and the keyboard inactive at that time).

Examples:

- note: to get direct access to gui apps, 'xhost +si:localuser:root' is
first executed into a terminal (then synaptic can be used, and other gui
app should too)

- so today i've tried to run 'gtkorphan' from the menu list: nothing
happened. Then i ran 'sudo gtkorphan' from the terminal, and the
application was opened as expected (with an expected 'ibus' warning).
Then i ran 'gksudo gtkorphan', the dialog box asked for password, but
nothing could be written (focus lost).
