I tried extracting the contents of both the 2.6.20 and 2.6.22 kernels. I copied the lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic (gutsy) into the lib/modules directory of the feisty initrd. This booted up no problem. This proves that the kernel is NOT the issue here.
As I said before, I believe the problem to be in either udev or the mdadm command that ends up in the initrd. I guess the next exercise is to try replacing only the mdadm command in the gutsy standard initrd with the one from Feisty. -- gutsy md module not present in ramdisk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
