Thanks for the bug. The description misses detailed steps to reproduce, but I made it happen like this.
$ gnome-software --gapplication-service --verbose # wait for it to settle down In another terminal $ gnome-software # same Then in the gnome-software window, type characters. It doesn't happen all the time, but more often if you type it slowly, because I think this was a problem with cancelling operations. Please try https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome- software/commit/?id=3e1d1ac8e4cd4ad0a89cecb02f1125e62090ed5d - it'll be in the next upstream release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1709657 Title: Installing gnome-characters prompt for enabling universe when it is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1709657/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
