Thanks for reporting.

Newer package versions are normally synced from Debian to the Ubuntu
development version. Once the release approaches, the automatic sync
stops to focus on stabilizing and bugfixes, though it is still possible
to add new versions through a feature freeze exception, see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess.

I'm not sure whether this falls in under the bugfix category, or if you
need a Freeze Exception, but I've subscribed the ubuntu-release team so
that they can take a look at it.
