Public bug reported: Any VF that I bind to vfi-pci gets handled as secondary queue.
Here with a mix of vfio-pci assignments: Log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/25514394/ I checked, if I bind ALL to thunderx-nicvf then ALL are considered primary and work to initialize in testpmd. Also the example at http://dpdk.org/doc/guides/nics/thunderx.html#example-device-binding clearly points to vfio-pci. Vice versa if I bind ALL to vfio-pci, then ALL fail - see http://paste.ubuntu.com/25514438/ ** Affects: dpdk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1716666 Title: Initializing DPDK on thunderx fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpdk/+bug/1716666/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
