Public bug reported:
The version of edk2 in artful currently FTBFS due to the switch to gcc-7. This
also affects Debian, and was reported here:

Upstream has since resolved those issues, so I fixed the above in Debian
by uploading a new snapshot. I propose that we fix the Ubuntu FTBFS by
syncing with Debian.
I think it would be significant effort - certainly more than I have time
for - to surgically backport the needed patches to the existing version
in artful. Alternatively, we could add a build-dep on the various gcc-6
packages and delay the transition to gcc-7 until after artful. That,
however, would require some cleverness since, while there is upstream
support for toolchain prefixes (*aarch64-gnu-linux-*gcc), there is no
toolchain *suffix* support upstream (gcc*-6*). But that's far from
insurmountable.
