No problem. I'm not so sure these are related, but there was a reference to this bug in the fore-mentioned. Just wanted to post the workaround for my problem in case someone made their way here with the same issue.
Editing fstab to reference /dev/sda2 and /dev/sdb2 instead of /dev/hda2 and /dev/hdb2 worked fine. It seems as though the kernel is detecting my disks as SCSI rather than IDE, as they were detected previously.
