Public bug reported:

I just did a clean install of the latest Aardvark daily build.
Everything was smooth enough and worked fine until I decided to see if
"Dash to Dock" offered a better experience than the new Ubuntu Dock.

Dash to Dock was installed through Ubuntu Software and replaced Ubuntu
Dock successfully ... but I actually preferred Ubuntu's take and
uninstalled the Dash to Dock again.

This broke Ubuntu Dock permanently. Neither a --reinstall via apt-get
nor a dpkg-reconfigure of gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock brought the
dock back. It's listed in the Gnome Extension manager but simply won't
stay enabled.

This probably shouldn't happen.
