Why not just disable this logging behaviour by default? No one knows about ~/.cache/upstart until it fills their disk and breaks their system (if they are savvy enough to find the problem log file).
The handful of power users that might occasionally need this logging behaviour can work out how to switch it on. In the mean time, not all of the users being impacted when it fills the disk will be able to work out what needs to be done about it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1240848 Title: ~/.cache/upstart takes up around 70GB of space due to unity and mediascanner To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1240848/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
