Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I've seen this bug elsewhere #120104 but it was marked invalid without
comment. Is there any reason why enabling SHMConfig and gsynaptics by
default would have any problems with sane defaults? If we can have
compiz enabled by default, with bulletproof X, for supported hardware,
why not touchpad configuration? I've seen this complaint (lack of
touchpad configuration by default) in several mainstream industry mags
about "dekstop readiness" including the most recent one by Walt
Mossberg. This should not be something terribly difficult to implement.
