Hi, Mine is a Lenovo Ideapad 320-15IKB, and I have the same issue. I tried the method given above, kindly check the attachment for the terminal log for the same. I did reboot after the installation but the touchpad is still not detected on Ubuntu 17.04 where as it is working perfectly fine on windows 10.
