Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Rhythmbox displays the following error when selecting the monoscope
visualization after another visualization is already used:
Unable to start visualization
Failed to link new visual effect into the Gstreamer pipeline
This tends to leave Rhythmbox in a bad state where trying to do anything
afterwards will lead to a crash. However, when restarting Rhythmbox
after such a crash, then the monoscope visualization is already selected
and works fine. However, selecting a different visualization and then
the monoscope visualization again brings back the error, which will
create a bad state that will ultimately lead to a crash again.
Totem does not have this issue with the monoscope visualization.
