Unfortunately electron apps don't detect us as supporting indicators, as they only rely on the current desktop instead that on the dbus interface.
This workaround is coming: https://github.com/electron/electron/commit/dc43dc2a1316d5f96e1c3a9cf6079c4150214f66 But electron apps need to be recompiled in order to take advantage of it. So please, report the issue to vendors. A workaround is to run them with env XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Unity <app> ** Changed in: gnome-shell-extension-appindicator (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1714255 Title: Electron and Chrome based apps don't show icons in the tray To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-appindicator/+bug/1714255/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
