Hello Chris.

The install completed and the system worked well when completed. Only
major app broken was Open Office, completely broken. I actually only
did the upgrade as a technical exercise to see if the upgrade would
totally break the system (I had a lot of self compiled apps on it.) It
did not. In normal circumstances before an upgrade I remove restricted
drivers and any non native Ubuntu packages. Turn off desktop
effects... you get the picture. But this time I did not and the system
worked well but for a few minor glitches. I think the development team
have done a great job on 7.10 it's the best yet in my opinion.

As I said it was more a technical exercise and I had always intended
to download the LiveCD and do a fresh install just keeping /home which
I did. So in a very long winded way no I am not having problems with
the upgrade.
