Yup. Its only an issue in the first few seconds, after that
conditioning goes out the window as adrenaline and instincts take over.
Psychologists like Pavlov noticed this in that if you provide a big
enough shock, you can wipe previous conditioning and revert back to a
base state (like a save file, usually created during childhood).
