Happened to me with the Ubuntu MATE upgrade as well. I handled things
the shell way because I dislike having stuff change on me as I update.

If this bug is encountered, the est way around it after `do-package-
upgrade` does `sudo dpkg --configure -a` is `sudo apt upgrade -y` and
sit tight during the upgrade process for further errors if encountered
Fortunately I encountered none after this.
