Did some testing. Here are the results for kernels 4.11, 4.12, 4.13, 4.14:- 4.11 - display OK, Ethernet (Internet) OK 4.12 - display OK, Ethernet (Internet) OK 4.13 - display problem (80% of the left hand side of screen black with smudges) occurs, Ethernet (Internet) OK 4.14 - *Very* occasionally the display works. Usually the display problem (80% of the left hand side of screen black with smudges) occurs Note: also saw on 4.14 that Internet(Ethernet does not work). The other kernels (4.11,4.12,4.13) can see ethernet and internet OK.
