I wish I did have a better suggestion! I still don't know what I "did wrong" to make this error message begin to appear. In any case, the message should reflect what is wrong and perhaps what I need to do to make gnome-sound-recorder work again. (Don't you think?)
Would you like me to forward this bug upstream, as it most likely is an upstream problem? -- "Your audio capture settings are invalid.
