I keep tripping over this stacktrace; ConfigParser is part of python2.7;
but got renamed in python3 onwards to configparser so the debpython
version module is not Python 3 compatible.

If /usr/bin/python does not point to /usr/bin/python2.7 you might see
this issue - is that the case in this install?
