I have upgraded my Feisty to Gutsy with a clean installation in /, keeping my /home directory. Since this, I'm having the same problem as remix_tj. My CRT gets out of frequency when the usplash should appear. It takes almost 15 seconds, when the monitor is going to the "power saving mode", GDM starts. I've tried to change usplash resolution in the file /etc/usplash to 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 without success. So I went to GRUB's menu.lst, adding the "vga=791" option, no success too. I've noticed that at the end of the system boot line there's an option "language=pt_BR" (I'm from Brasil). I'm afraid to remove this and mess up the things. I realise that I did whatever I could do. Does anyone have another idea? Thanks you all.
