Oleic acid is a large fragment of olive oil and is comedogenic,
squalane is a small fragment and is not comedogenic. Avoiding one does
not mean you need to avoid the other they have completely different
chemical structures.
I know some people claim that because coconut oil is an issue all
derivatives are also an issue, but there is no science or logic to
that.
