Core i7 7700 HQ Gtx 1050 Mint 18.2 My solution is that ; don't install Nvidia prop drivers immediately. First ; start using MDM instead of Lightdm. Because workaround above is not working with it and you cannot even enter TTY screen. Then install Nvidia drivers.
