Public bug reported:

ubuntu-mate-default-settings provides default configuration to lock screen at 
file 
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ubuntu-mate.gschema.override

by default to lock screen used command "mate-screensaver-command -lock"
but mate-screensaver-command accept "--lock" argument

$ grep command /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ubuntu-mate.gschema.override
[org.mate.Marco.keybinding-commands]
command-1='mate-screensaver-command -lock'
command-2='mate-screenshot --area --interactive'
run-command-1='<Mod4>l'
run-command-2='<Shift>Print'
run-command-terminal='<Control><Alt>t'


~/.xsession-errors contains "** (mate-screensaver-command:23100): WARNING **: 
Unknown option -lock"
