Public bug reported:
attempted replacement install of vs. 17.10 on ASUS Q301L to replace
16.04 lite that didn't fully function.
install running off usb
loaded 17.10 through grub as "try"
ran install inside ubuntu 17
aborted install because of grub didn't install and system couldn't
reboot
sent auto report
I assume this is a uefi issue because I couldn't get install usb for vs.
16.04 lite to run grub, it just loaded the install screen and then
opened try ubuntu home screen to run install. The 16.04 lite stalled
twice (once shutting down to restart, and then froze the installer in
home screen at network key); but vs 17.10 was installing trouble free
until it sent the error about grub
