@jsalisbury NOt really sure how I do that without trashing this system. It is a network workstation that provided TV locally and across the network until the upgrade and virtualisation as well as many other applications which all seem to work fine after the 14.04 to 16.04 upgrade. I tried installing the kernel image and headers but could not log into the GUI probably something to do with Nvidia or graphics so no way to test the TV capability.
If you have detailed instructions that would result in the system working with nvidia etc after installing the new kernels please provide it. Happy to test things.
