You are a genius! My MFC8510 and my Epson WorkForce GT-1500 now work fine... ...now we should forward this info to the sane programmers (perhaps they can make the program look in both the old and the new locations), to Debian - and to the manufacturers: Symlinks isn't hard to create in the postinstall scripts. Perhaps they will add the necessary lines.
