I have one board called
$ lspci | grep -i vga

Graphics Controller (rev 02)
It's one Dell Optiplex 745 (Core 2 Duo).
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and also get the message "Desktop effects could
not be enabled" when I try to enable it on "Visual Effects".
$ compiz --replace
Checking for Xgl: not present.
Blacklisted PCIID '8086:2992' found
aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity
Window manager warning: "" found in configuration database is not a valid value
for keybinding "toggle_shaded"
My Hardware Database ID is 99c7ac45a6ae0684bf27cc0307685f85
