Interesting bug. The automatic login conversion options were only tested on standard Gutsy installs, not Mythbuntu.
Temporarily you can modify /etc/gdm/gdm-cdd.conf to turn on and off automatic login and rm ~/.config/autostart/mythtv.desktop to turn off automatically starting the frontend. We'll see what we can investigate here.
