I'm presently running Mint 18.2 (Based on Ubuntu 16.04) with Cinnamon 3.4.6 which does not use Orage. I have not had issues related to language or formats with my calendar, Firefox or Libre Office with this set up although being a dual boot W10 and Mint 18.2 system (separate drives) Mint likes the bios set for UTC, yet Windows 10 refused to properly sync to NIST and assumed I was on the other side of the International Date Line. I eventually had to hack the W10 registry to fix this. Ah, the joys of being retired to another country.
