Public bug reported:

I tried to install Ubuntu 17.10 on a 32-bit Laptop (eeePC900A) from the 
mini.iso on a USB stick.
The install starts, but hangs at the stage of the mirror selection with the 
error message / Warning:
"choose-mirror: mirror does not support the specified release (artful)" 
Choosing any other mirror does not change things.

Find attached the syslog file from /var/log/syslog
