Public bug reported:
the apt default repository didn't have kubuntu-desktop in it
I had to download the kubuntu cd to install it.
(I downloaded ubuntu by mistake, and thought it wouldn't be a big deal to nuke
gnome like it deserves to be.... but there was no conversion package)
