Hi Christian,
1. is there a way to just upgrade libvirt/qemu? i would like to avoid a upgrade to a new openstack version. to reproduce the problem i just have to upgrade the guest instances and reboot them. BTW after setting "handle_virt_lifecycle_events = False" in nova.conf on the compute node, it got way better. Now i have 1 in 10 instances which are not booting, before i had about 4 or 5 of 10. Is there a way to get more debug info? 2. Everything runs through nova. The reboot is initiated with ansible inside the guest Note my ansible playbooks reboots 3 guests at a time, but sometimes it happend also if i rebooted one guest by hand. 3. the guests are mostly webserver with little io. we are using hpe storevirtual with iscsi as storage backend. all guest are booting from volume. Thank you for your help!
