I've had the same problem described in bug:156558 (i marked it as
duplicate of this one):
$ sudo apt-get install ebox-network
...

Can't call method "setIfaceStatic" on an undefined value at
/usr/share/ebox-network/ebox-netcfg-import line 87, <FD> line 10.
...
$ cat /etc/network/interfaces

broadcast x.x.x.159
gateway x.x.x.129
$ ps aux | grep gconf

/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconfd-2 19

Note that each gconfd2-4 is running as a different user, I don't know
what that means. I killed both.
$ sudo apt-get install ebox-network
