Hi,

It looks like update-grub failed due to a possible configuration error
in /etc/default/grub:

  /usr/sbin/grub-mkconfig: 36: /etc/default/grub:
intel_idle.max_cstate=1: not found

Likely the 'intel_idle.max_cstate=1' string was to be added to to either
the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT or GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX variable.

Once you have corrected /etc/default/grub, you should perform:

  $ sudo update-grub

ensuring that it completes without error; and then:

  $ sudo apt-get install -f

to get apt back into a consistent state.
