Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xbindkeys

Using Logitech Mx1000
xorg.conf points to xbindkeys for keybindings.
When using GDM, all buttons work as defined in .xbindkeysrc.
When I enable compiz the functions bound to these keys cease working (I
typically only use this combination in Firefox, and some games under WINE)

These buttons are bound to "Alt_L" "Left" and "Alt_L" "Right"
respectively in .xbindkeysrc

When Alt+Left/Right are pressed on the keyboard, even with compiz running, it
works perfectly.
When the mouse button emulating these keystrokes is pressed, it does not work
unless compiz is disabled.

I do not know if this is an xbindkeys issue, and xorg.conf issue, a
Firefox issue, or a Compiz/Compiz-fusion issue.

More information would be helpful if someone has time to test/narrow
down this behavior.

I am running a recently updated 7.10 (Gutsy) install.
This issue was also present in 7.04 (Fiesty), but only after installing Beryl,
and later under Compiz-fusion, which I have only been using the past week or so.

I will try to update with more related info (my xorg.conf and
.xbindkeysrc contents) tonight.

** Affects: xbindkeys (Ubuntu)
