1. Systems->Administration-> Language Support 2. It will ask to download language packages (if you don't have them already, as I vaguely remember) 3. Restart Language Support, or reboot if necessary 4. Check the support for any foreign language (for me it was Chinese) 5. Enable support for enter complex characters 6. Reboot, now scim should be loaded with each session. If not just enter "scim" in the terminal 7. With scim loaded, open up firefox 8. Start typing in the link-box, say "goog," and the dropdown box should appear to show "http://google.com/" and anything else related. 9. At this point, check the system cpu load, which should be pretty high (even on a dual core)
