Hi Mari,
the issue that was detected by your Ubuntu system is not related to the awkward
things you describe happening to you.

Before checking out the details of the issue a little story.
I have seen issues similar to your cursor moving issues.
In one case people tend to lean on touchpads when writing on laptops - if that
might be the case look at [1].
In another case the keyboard had a hanging ctrl key, so inputs where actually
sometimes modified and e.g. ALT+F4 vs F4 is qiute a difference.
In the last case I must admit we plugged an extra wireless usb keyboard/mouse
to a coworkers computer to annoy him.
So make sure no one is trying to tease you :-)

Now getting to the bug in basd-mailx reported here.
That actually is an issue on configuring/upgrading postfix, from your log:

newaliases: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: orgonangel..name
newaliases: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter myhostname: bad
parameter value: orgonangel..name

Check out the definition of valid hostnames [2] and fix up your config
in "/etc/postfix/main.cf" then the update should succeed.

Also good luck with your input issues.
