I have proposed a fix to the kernel iscsi transport code. You can follow

If upstream chooses to accept my proposal, which fixes the issue like
demonstrated here:

Then I'll propose Canonical kernel-team a SRU based on the upstream
patch.

For now this case is on hold for upstream discussion/decision.
