When trying to upgrade from 7.04 to 710 the installation of rkhunter
failed.
Indeed the whole upgrade failed. After a fresh install of 7.10, rkhunter
via synaptic still will not work. The relevant messages are:-
Preconfiguring packages ...
Selecting previously deselected package rkhunter.

Unpacking rkhunter (from .../rkhunter_1.3.0-1_all.deb) ...
