BTW, for your Apport folks - I'm currently unpicking rather a mess caused by our equivalent tool (abrt) considering many crashes that run through a particular codepath in GNOME Shell as duplicates when they are not in fact duplicates at all. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1509086 for more details on that. You might wanna check if the same thing is affecting Apport in any way.
