I've tried id without the quiet option and it does not help. The screen
is not just black, it's turned off when it suspends to disk. And
somewhere in between it hangs, I don't know why :-(

BTW: I've tested it with the open source nv driver instead of the nvidia
driver - and there the Suspend2Disk works! What's the difference? Do I
need to config something additional when using the closed-source
drivers?
