Public bug reported:
Since the upgrade to 'Bionic Beaver', Kodi sound has been distorted. I
downgraded to Artful to check it's Kodi and sound is fine there. So this
time I did a clean install of Bionic (last time I upgraded to Bionic I
used the same home directory as I had for Artful and Debian distros
prior, so I wanted to rule out a corruption via config file). Still,
badly distorted audio in clean install. This is on metal btw, not
hypervisor.
Audio is fine in gnome-mpv, gnome-movie-player, and VLC.
