It depends to the old CPU . It needs kernel installation with> force PAE<. In
Updates it is impossible to switch. "Linux Mint" installation tells while
updating, not to install the new Kernel. It will not work (no PAE-CPU). - So
the System will work perfekt.
In my case I abandon this old notebook. In competition to my PC it is deadly
slow.
Thanks for your helping, and excuse my delay. it's not easy to me, to write
