Hi, I ran into another very similar bug report. But OTOH I can not reproduce the issue.
Now what makes me suspicious are two things: 1. the recent fix was a backport about reading /etc/mtab So it would be great if you could share your /etc/mtab 2. both reports appear "asian" to me (I beg your pardon for not being able to recognize the countries) That said it might depend on certain characters in either mtab or in the system in general. I've seen issues with my locale being non en-US :-) So if you could report the output of $ locale I'd want to try with yours to recreate the issue It would be great to get the info requested above. Furthermore we should run your postinst as-is verbosely to check what exactly is failing. This is a bit tricky but avoids issues due to the failed upgrade being rerolled. $ apt download sysstat $ dpkg-deb -x sysstat_11.2.0-1ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb sysstat $ dpkg-deb -e sysstat_11.2.0-1ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb sysstat/DEBIAN $ sed -i 's/set -e/set -ex/' sysstat/DEBIAN/post $ dpkg-deb -b sysstat sysstat_verbose_11.2.0-1ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb $ sudo dpkg -i sysstat_verbose_11.2.0-1ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb Please provide the full output of the latter, that should lead us closer to the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1740721 Title: package sysstat 11.2.0-1ubuntu0.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sysstat/+bug/1740721/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
