Well maybe the problem is not related to nvidia driver... I purged all nvidia driver and installed back nouveal... after restart the notebook I got the same issue: frozzen system between login and gnome-sell.
Actually, after several forced rebootings, I could reinstall nvidia driver in a Ctrl+Alt+F5 text session and defined another 'sudo prime- select intel' ... only after this I could restart and login normally. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1740053 Title: nvidia-384 384.90-0ubuntu3.17.10.1: nvidia-384 kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-384/+bug/1740053/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
