Public bug reported: After freshly installing Yacas on a up-to-date xenial system, I attempt to run Yacas. I receive the following output:
> john@thunder:~$ yacas > yacasinit.ys(1) : File not found > > yacasinit.ys(1) : File not found > > yacasinit.ys(1) : File not found > > This is Yacas version '1.3.6'. > Yacas is Free Software--Free as in Freedom-... > This seems to be the same bug as reported elsewhere, https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=815924 However the workaround mentioned there (see 'strace') is not sufficient, there seem to be numerous files not in the location expected by yacas. One solution though seems to be to run yacas from the directory /usr/share/yacas. In that case, it seems to find all the required files, and there is no need for the symlinks to be added. ** Affects: yacas (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1742002 Title: yacasinit.ys(1) : File not found (xenial, yacas version 1.3.6) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yacas/+bug/1742002/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
