Mike, thanx for your prompt reply... update-manager-core *is* actually 0.59.25... I was about to try the "-m server" stuff when I noticed that my ^R was showing do-release-upgrade /without/ the sudo... it turns out that doing that actually asked me for the password at some point, but that was only valid for the ifrst checkings... I just launched a plain "sudo do-release-upgrade" (without the -m option) and at least it passed the point where it hung before...
Aparently, it is now proceeding with the apt-get dist-upgrade... So, my guess is that this ticket is invalid due to "user=id10t"... but let me keep it open until it finished... I'll post here whenever it finishes upgrading so you can safley close the ticket. Thanx again for your answer. -- [feisty->gutsy] server do-release-upgrade fails because none of the *buntu-dekstop meta-package is found https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156680 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
