Public bug reported:
After the partition tables have been set and a few seconds after the
installer starts, it crashes (and is repeatable) at the same stage all
the time. The downloaded 17.10.1 MD5sum checks out correctly and I used
usb disk creator on Ubuntu 14.10 to make the installation USB.
I don't know if ubiquity is the correct package, it was autoselected for
me and I have no idea what it does.
I have had 17.10 running before on the laptop, but I bricked the system
because I'm a genius (this is a reinstall) so the laptop is fully
compatible with ubuntu 17.10 with weyland and all the rest.
That's all the info I can give you at this moment, syslog is coming in a
comment because I can only seem to attach one file at a time.
